The "AusFirst Angels" education and investment program is operated by AusFirst Angels Pty Ltd ACN 111 523 678.
Mr Robert Walsh and Mr Peter McNally founded the Save Australia Buyers Club (also known as "McNallys") in 1999 and succeeded in attracting approximately 14,500 members throughout Australia. The Buyers Club was created to encourage Australian consumers to support Australian industry. It provided incentives for shoppers to support small businesses in their local communities and educated members about the importance of buying Australian-made, and more importantly, Australian-owned products. It also sought to invest in Australian inventions and technologies.
Subsequently, the Buyers Club formed the Save Australia Co-operative Limited. In 2001, they formed a joint venture with Mr John Rivett's company to establish AusFirst Capital Limited ACN 091 945 443 - a registered Pooled Development Fund.
In 2005, the Buyers Club was disbanded and its assets were taken over by the Save Australia Co-operative Limited and then vested into a new investment company called Consolidated Interests Limited ACN 092 736 162. Save Australia Co-operative Limited owns the majority of shares in Consolidated Interests Limited, and former members of the Buyers Club now own shares equivalent to their previous percentage interest in profit sharing units in the Buyers Club. Anyone who was a member of the Buyers Club is offered free shares in Consolidated Interests Limited. If you were a member of the Buyers Club, and have not yet received your free shares, you can contact us and we can assist you.
Save Australia Co-operative Limited remains a substantial shareholder in AusFirst Capital Limited and Consolidated Interests Limited is also a shareholder.
Accordingly all of the former members of the Save Australia Buyers Club are direct or indirect shareholders in AusFirst Capital Limited
In late 2005, AusFirst Microfund Limited ACN 098 751 752 was established as a seed and early stage capital investment company.
This restructure is good news!! It has resulted in a unique group of companies poised to provide seed and early stage capital and support for new Australian ventures as well as opportunities for investors to financially participate in them.
Our sponsored Investment Companies are all controlled by their own Boards of Directors who make their own investment and divestment decisions. AusFirst provides deal flow, fundraising, administration services, mentoring, management and product advice.
